After 26 years, tonight's AGM saw the remaining member clubs of the Hertfordshire and Essex Cricket League vote unanimously in favour of the resolution to dissolve the League; and to authorise the Management Committee to discharge all remaining debts and liabilities of the League and to donate any remaining assets/funds to a charity/charities nominated by the last management Committee in accordance with section 15 of the HECL constitution.
This has been a temultuous year for League that has built a reputation for fair play, inclusivity and friendship. Thanks must go to all those volunteers that have served on the League Managment Committee since the League's inception and to those that have given their time in countless other ways to ensure that cricket could be enjoyed in the right spirit. We would also like to thank representives from both Hertfordshire and Essex Cricket, who have offered their support and counsel over the years and to all of our sponsors for their financial support.
This site will remain online for the present as a matter of historical record. We will endeavour to update this news page with details about how the remaining funds will be distributed as soon as discussions with the Essex Cricket and Hertfordshire Cricket are complete.
We would like to wish all clubs and players every success as they move on to pastures new and hope that cub cricket continues to prosper on the borders of Hertfordshire and Essex.

but how you played the game!”
