Dear All,
Happy New Year to you all.....
A couple of points for your information;-
1. Regretably I am informed by Westmill CC that they won't be fielding a side in the League in 2009. They have struggled over the past couple of seasons to consistently field eleven players each weekand feel that this would not have
improved in the coming season.
2. The League management committee are meeting next Wednesday (21st January) to talk through the implications of this, should anyone have any comments on this matter please address them to your League Rep or a
member of the committee.
3. League Fees are now due invoices have been sent out but these will have gone to last seasons club contacts. Any club yet to send this (details below) could they please do so before the end of January.
League fees for 2009 are £211 (for each side), Payable to HECL and sent to;-
Hon Treasurer

4. Contact details for all club for 2009 are required to be returned to me by the end January, for those yet to return this form please note I require the following;-
Club/Division/Website (if applicable).
Ground address in full & phone no.
Club Chairman and a contact number.
League Rep;- Name/Address/Phone no's./email.
Saturday Captain or Contact;-Name/Address/Phone no's./email (for each XI)
5. Also, again for those yet to return the forms, could you please let me know if you wish to enter this years League Cup and if you require any extra match balls.

It is with deep regret and sadness that after an Emergency General Meeting on the 3rd December it has been decided that Westmill C.C. cannot continue as a Cricket Club due to lack of support. We would like to express our thanks to the league for all the work they have done for grass roots cricket, we as a club have enjoyed the few years we have been members and have made many friends. We sincerely hope the league continues from strength to strength.
