As we approach the start of a new season once again there are a handful of clubs that have not passed on details of their current CWO. A reminder to all that this has to be done before your club is allowed to participate in the HECL competitions.
This year new league rules have been proposed and introduced in an effort to assist the league in managing this requirement. If your club does not have a fully compliant CWO by the strt of the season and all relevant proof provided to the league committe's CWO liason officer Paul Elby then sanction WILL be placed on your club. Ultimately if your club does not comply then the club will not be able to compete in the league.
This is a requirement of all leagues affiliated to the ECCB.
Below is a list of clubs that at present the league has no record of a compliant CWO. Please take action immediately if your club is listed here.
Abridge, Ardeley Walkern, Ashdon, Birchanger, Essendon, Harlow Town, Hatfield Heath, Roding Valley, Three Caps.
It could just be that Paul Elby doesn't have upto date records or could be that you need to sorce courses and attend them to bring the club up to date. I have asked Paul for information on upcoming courses and will post details in the forum when I have them. If anyone else knows of course that are running currently then please let me know or post details in the forum.
This all may seem to be a distraction from the process of playing cricket but it is designed to protect both children in your club and visiting clubs as well as your club itself and it's members.
