	High Roding CC are in the Quarter Finals of the National Village Cup and on Sunday 27th July welcome Valley End from Surrey, to High Roding for a 2pm start. All support is welcome. Note: Also as Bob forgot to mention it, Thursday night is the final of our League cup at Bishops Stortford start 5.30pm. Farnham vs Takeley. As usual all welcome. 	The League Management Meeting last Monday was longest I can remember, many items were discussed and some difficult decisions were made. Outlined below are some of the main points from the minutes that will be distributed by Hon Sec. Colin Craig in due course. 1. Firstly after a couple of minor incidents I am asked to remind all and that the LMC are very keen that the our matches are played with the spirit of the game in mind. This applies particularly to the Captains who's responsiblilty it is to ensure all players follow the League's code of conduct as in rule 19. 19. The HECL and its members are charged to abide by the following Code of Conduct. All parties involved in the HECL accept responsibility for the behaviour of its players and officials and will take appropriate action against any individuals who fail to abide by this code. We will observe the highest standards of sportsmanship, behaviour and dress on and off the field in keeping with the dignity and best traditions of the game. We will not accept intimidation, aggressive behaviour and deliberate distraction. We shall not accept dissent shown towards umpires decisions. We shall ensure all players and officials are acquainted with this code. 2. As you will note from the HECC Results below Matching Green appealed after their defeat to High Roding regarding the eligibility of a player this was upheld and Matching Green progress (subject to possible appeal). 3. For failure to meet certain requirements as they agreed to by 31st May Chadwell Heath and Little Bardfield have been penalised 26 points for each side and warned about possible further sanction (subject to possible appeal). 4. On a happier note I am pleased to announce that Ex-Essex and England star Ronnie Irani has booked as this year's guest speaker for the HECL annual dinner on Saturday 18th October.
